About Yevgeniy Sharlat
YEVGENIY SHARLAT (born in Moscow, Russia, in 1977) is composing music for orchestra, chamber ensembles, theater, ballet, mechanical sculptures, animations, and film. He majored in violin, piano, and music theory at the Academy of Moscow Conservatory. After immigrating to the United States in 1994, he studied composition at the Juilliard Pre-College, Curtis Institute of Music and Yale University. As of 2021, he is Professor of Composition at the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music.
