
Yervand Yerkanyan (5 November 1951 in Leninakan (now Gyumri) is an Armenian composer. Yerkanyan studied composition and violin at the Yerevan Conservatory with Grigory Yeghiazaryan. Since 1985 he is chairman of the Department for Opera, symphonic and chamber music at the Composers' Union of Armenia.
