About Yajna Vedana
Yajna Vedana is a post-rock outfit from Colombo that was formed mid-2010. What began as a solo project of Imaad Majeed, going by the moniker "St. Fallen", eventually grew into the concept of a band that would aim to break through the conventianalities of heavy metal music, in the local scene as well as elsewhere. Taking Eastern influences, such as the band name which is derived from a sanskrit phrase "vedana yajna", which translates to "sacrifice of senses"
