About Xylander
Gerd Xylander (professionally known just as Xylander) is a famous german teacher at the grammar school "Loger Str." in Osterholz-Scharmbeck until his rentirement in 2005. By offering radio amateur as an extracurricular activity he became very popular amongst the pupils. Not less known were his classes for maths and physics which can be seen as historical document for modern teaching in Germany. Some pupils recorded them and shared them to express their adoration for his teaching.
