
Xhemali Berisha is a renowned Kosovan‑Albanian choreographer, singer, and folklorist whose work has shaped and unified the traditional dance culture of Kosovo and the Albanian diaspora. Born in 1949 in Buçe (Opojë), a region known for its rich folk traditions. From childhood he was immersed in local dance and song—his father was a folk dancer and his mother a traditional singer ([koha.net][1]).
