About Xerostratus
Historically, the group you seek has been known as SUEDE? (no relation to the london variety), a noise-oriented four-piece based in southern orange county, california. It is part punk band, part guerrilla artists, and part revolution movement. George, Drew, and Jason assembled themselves in spring of 2004 and after several mutations of lineup found themselves (although all multiple-instrumentally talented) with Jason on drums, George playing guitar, Drew delivering the scream/sung lyrics, and Emmi, George's sister, supplying bass.
