The Workdogs are a rhythm section of two people Rob Kennedy: bass, vocals, Scott Jarvis: drums, who have provided the backbeat for Half Japanese, Velvet Monkeys, and a number of other bands over the years. As The Workdogs they have played with guests (called sidemen, mostly on guitar, but other instruments too), both on record and live.
