Woob is the stage name of the British soundtrack and ambient dub musician Paul Frankland. He first came to the attention of the musical community after releasing an album on T:me Recordings' new downtempo label em:t records with the catalogue number 1194, which many regard as a milestone ambient release. Following the success of his first album, which was re-released in the USA by Instinct Records, Woob contributed more tracks to em:t compilations and the trance label Flying Rhino Records.
