About Within despair
After many genre and lineup changes, Within Despair exploded off with a fresh start in august 2005 in Ås, the contryside outside of Oslo, Norway. They started off with melodic black metal and evolved further into an even more melodic /and/ aggressive genre, Dark Metal. With a lyrical concept of dark romances and malicious landscapes combined with a melancholic aggressive music style, Within Despair woke attention in the local metal scene.
