Wind Waker were a band from Perth, Western Australia active from 2008-2010. The band's sound has been described numerous times as "kinda metal", "terse post punk" and "surf-core". The band formed after the demise of Perth band The Blow Up, the guitarist for that band, Lewis Waters joined Mental Powers, and the rest of the band, Clancey Williams, Louis Hooper and William Hooper, decided to start another. The band were featured in the Love Is My Velocity Cookbook and Banknotes Compilation
