About Wim poppink
Wim Poppink (The Hague, 20th June 1903 - The Hague, 23rd January 1965) was one of the jazz alto saxophone and clarinet players with the Dutch jazz band The Ramblers from 1928 to 1958. He performed vocals in such well known Rambler's songs as Dag schatteboutje, Weet je nog wel and Wie is Loesje. In September 2010 Tony Junior & Nicolas Nox scored a hit in the Netherlands with a song called Loesje, a remix of The Ramblers 1939 hit, Wie is Loesje, sung by Wim Poppink. Wim Poppink was also one of the The Ramblers' many composers.
