Born on Nov 1, 1959 and raised in the Netherlands, Willem Dyck began playing guitar as a teenager, inspired by a friend who gave him an album of Elmore James. Later he got his hands on a tape with the music of Freddy King (Texas Cannonball) and around the same time he bought himself a record of Buddy Guy (DJ Play My Blues).
