Wilhelm Gottfried Enderle (Bayreuth , 1722 - Darmstadt , 1793) was a German violinist and composer. Until the age of fourteen he studied music in Nuremberg , and then went to Berlin to perfect himself. In 1748 he entered the service of the archbishop of Würzburg and in 1753 he was called to Darmstadt as director of the court concerts. He wrote numerous pieces for violin and harpsichord, but did not print them, with the exception of some violin solos that have reached our days.
