About Whimsical
"Whimsical is a shoegaze/dreampop band formed in 1999. This band drew on inspiration from many other classic shoegaze bands, such as Slowdive, Ride, My Bloody Valentine & Cocteau Twins, but truly have a unique sound of their own. A "wall of sound", as some would say. Neil Burkdoll originally started writing riffs for these songs back in 1995, but wasn't sure who he would call on to help bring those songs to life. Krissy and Neil were great friends, who shared the same passion for music.
