In February 2011 the guitarists Chris & Matt founded a band with the name "Epitaph". After Luk and Phil joined in, they changed their name to"Where The Baptized Drown" 'cause the name "Epitaph" was used by over 50 other bands worldwide. In 2011, the band jammed together for a few times but not enough to create own songs, they only covered songs by Behemoth or Job For A Cowboy. At the beginning of 2012, wtbd got the offer to play with the best local band from Cologne, Germany called "For All This Bloodshed" live, and then things got serious.
