After Erik is a musical tribute to the spirit and works of Erik Satie 1866 ~ 1925. Satie's lean epigrammatic style influenced modern schools of composition. His use of Jazz rhythms, unresolved chords, simple melody and unconventional notation, established him as a leading French avant-garde cult figure. WERKX - After Eric is loosely based upon Erik Satie's piano pieces the "Three Gymnopedies & Three Gnossiennes". WERKX expand these miniatures into larger scale compositions / arrangements.
