About Wazzo Clash
Wazzo Clash is a New Zealand-based tribute band to The Clash. The band takes it’s name from an earlier incarnation of the line-up. From the mid eighties to the early nineties they performed as Wazzo Ghoti. Unashamedly influenced by The Clash and other English punk bands, they performed around New Zealand and released an album, Gone Ghoting, and a couple of cassettes. Wazzo Ghoti suffered the loss of their drummer, Bill Morris (aka Joe Drummer), to a head injury following a vicious assault.
