About Wayne Richards Southern Nights
Wayne Richards has spent a lifetime traveling and putting his experiences to song. From the south with time in Louisiana, he graduated from Lake Oswego(Oregon) High School in 1966 and attended Portland State. Having failed out of college for non-attendance, he was drafted into the US Army and served 6 years with one tour in Vietnam(1969-70). As a draftee he did land on his feet with selection to Officer Candidate School and trained as a pilot in the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog aircraft.
