About Warhammer UK
Formed in 1984, Warhammer was one of the UK's first death metal bands. Shane Embury (drums), Mitch Dickinson (guitars), Wayne Aston (guitars), and Mike Clarke (vocals, bass) had been involved in the underground tape trading scene, which influenced them to make heavier music than the thrash which was prevailing at the time. Warhammer released three demos before splitting. Embury, Dickinson and Aston went on to play in Unseen Terror.
