Wally Cox was an American soul singer, arranger and promoter (notably for Marvin Gaye. Cox's origin is not certain, but he is believed to be from Oakland, CA, United States. He released a handful of 45s in the early 1960s and, a decade later, gained some prominence on the Northern Soul scene in the United Kingdom.
