About Volatile Ensemble
Essentially rooted in jazz, Volatile Ensemble is a duo that practices spontaneous composition. Drawing from all music including such influences as Thelonious Monk, Brad Mehldau, John McLaughlin, John Coltrane, Chopin, Beethoven, and many many others. Volatile Ensemble consists of two people, Dan and Mark. They both play all the instruments heard in the recordings, usually taking turns while the piece is developing.
