About Virgin of the Birds
Virgin of the Birds is a Seattle-based indie pop band founded by Jon Rooney, who started the project as an outlet for his songs outside of Morning Spy. Virgin of the Birds' debut EP, Mixed Choir, was co-produced by Shawn Jones of The Lovely Sparrows and released by Abandoned Love Records. Every Rival, the first in a series of download-only EPs, was released at the start of the summer of 2009 followed shortly by Banquet Years, Dear Furies and Fugitive Works.
