About Virgilio Marino
Australian/Italian Tenor Virgilio Marino studied Piano at the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney and Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He was winner of the Tenor Award Sydney Performing Arts Challenge and a Dame Joan Sutherland Award, and also Finalist in the prestigious McDonald’s Opera Competition. In 2000 Virgilio attended Mannes College of Music in New York on a scholarship. At Mannes his operatic performances included roles such as Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff
