About Vincenzo Liberti
Very little is known about the Italian composer Vincenzo Liberti, son of the musician Antonio Liberti: to date both the day of his birth and his death remain unknown. Between 1598 and 1600 he was an organist in Spoleto Cathedral (Perugia), and in 1602 he was probably appointed chapel master in the same church, succeeding his father. Documentary sources testify to the presence of Antonio and Vincenzo Liberti also in other cities in central Italy: Perugia (1563), Foligno (1569, 1579), Città di Castello (1579, 1587) and Todi (1584-1593).
