About Vertical Hold

There are at least two different groups called Vertical Hold. 1. Vertical Hold was an American 'urban contemporary' / R&B trio, made up of Angie Stone (vocals), David Bright (drums) and Willie Bruno (keyboards). They released two albums (A Matter of Time in 1993 and Head First in 1995) before disbanding. The first album spawned the popular single, 'Seems You're Much Too Busy'. Front woman Angie Stone (1961-2025) would move on to a very successful career as a solo soul artist, starting 1999.
