About VanCamp

A wide-eyed dreamer, vanCamp (Calvin Bakelaar) is joined by his band the Skeleton Crew. After years of being the on-call drummer taught himself to sing and play the guitar and started vanCamp. He began writing the songs he wanted to hear on the radio, and won the Don Skuce Memorial Songwriting Contest in 2021. vanCamp's music evokes nostalgia through ballads and indie-folk beats and is Influenced by artists like Tim Baker, Bahamas, Donovan Woods and Phoebe Bridgers.
