
Valto Uolevi Laitinen (November 23 1926 Helsinki - October 11 2004 in Paris, France) was a Finnish jazz musician and entertainment, pianist, composer and arranger .. He went to school in Helsinki Koelyseossa 1940-1944 and received a discharge certificate. He studied piano, inter alia, school mate Matti Rautio , in the chair and became interested in jazz school in due course, and appeared to begin the various school bands. In 1947 , he joined Olli Hämeen Quintet, which played for a year. His style included Nat King Cole and Lennie Tristano.
