About Upbeat
Michel Lloyd moved from Quebec City to Montreal at the turn of the millennium. In electronic music, he found a means of expression that matched his personality and enabled him to free his creative spirit. Drawing inspiration from the visual arts as well as the urban pulse and other stimulating sounds in his adopted metropolis, he launched his music-making career under the alias Upbeat in 2006. A year later, enthralled by the burgeoning Montreal electronica scene
