Hailing from Minneapolis Under Violet is a folk-rock band fronted by songwriter Sara Bischoff (of Web of Sunsets/Heavy Deeds on rhythm guitar, lead vocals), joined by Chris Bierden (of Poliça on bass guitar, guitar, backup vocals), Jeremy Ylvisaker (lead guitar, keys) and Mike Gunvalson (drums, percussion). In a style that harkens back to bands like Mazzy Star and classic folk/country their unique style elicits an almost ethereal solemnity
