About Twilight of the Idle
Rickie Gal; songwriter, pianist, poet, and singer, started Twilight of the Idle in 2005 at Purchase College. In the beginning, the project was a four-piece rock band, and they performed at campus events as well as New York City clubs such as the Pyramid and the late CBGB’s 313 Gallery. Twilight of the Idle metamorphosed into a cabaret duo when Gal was inspired by the jazz musicians around hir*, and began to experiment with and combine different styles.
