three bored weirdos find an assortment of random sticker-letters on the patio table at a friend's house, and build many strange phrases with the letters before realizing that altogether they spell TRASH TRASH TRASH. the phrases become song titles, and trash becomes the band. brandon, warren, and alanna show their phrases to joe, who offers to play bass. rita buys an electric organ for $15 at a yard sale. everyone invaded her house with a strange assortment of ideas and lyrics scribbled in composition notebooks.
