Leon Darnell Bray Jr. (born September 9, 1992), better known for his stage name TopNotchYL or YL is an American rapper. TopNotchYL was born in Flint, Michigan. At the age of two he moved with his mom to Detroit, Michigan. In the year 2000 he discovered the rapper Young Jeezy, who is now his all-time favorite rapper. He first caught interest in rapping his Senior year of High School from his close friend Jabree. His influences include rappers Dizzy Wright, Ludacris, Hopsin, Young Jeezy, Eminem, Bone Thugs N Harmony and Tha Joker.
