The duo TONID was formed around 1992, when Tomasz Nidecki invited Adam Wasilkowski, who previously played with a Polish cold wave act Joanna Makabresku, to join him in his efforts to produce an album. All the songs for this album have been composed by Tomasz between 1989 (as part of his efforts with Mark Gittens as The Definite Impact) and 1991. Adam was asked to compose suitable guitar lines for these tracks. The duo recorded their first demo in 1993 (two songs) at Piotr Kokosiński's studio in Warsaw.
