About Tolchock
There are two bands using the name Tolchock: 1. A heavy, minimalist drone-rock duo from Japan made up of guitarist Taku Idemoto and drummer Shoko Yoshida. Tolchock's sound owes a large debt to early German kosmische groups such as Ash Ra Tempel (particularly in their use of echo and looping effects) though it remains sonically aligned with the dark, reverb-drenched feel of 21st century contemporaries such as The Black Angels or The Cosmic Dead. Their debut album "After Fog Open" was released on tape by Sky Lantern Records in mid-2014.
