
Tim Hodgkinson (born 1 May 1949) is an English experimental music composer and performer, principally on reeds and keyboards. He is best known as one of the core members of the British avant-garde rock group Henry Cow, which he formed with Fred Frith in 1968. After the demise of Henry Cow, he participated in a number of bands and projects, including a solo recording career. He graduated in social anthropology at Cambridge University in 1971 but chose to pursue a musical career instead.
