
Named after the 1962 NY Mets' inept first-baseman, "Marvelous" Marv Throneberry, Throneberry were a Cincinnati rock band formed by singer/guitarist Jason Arbenz and bassist Paul Cavins in 1990. Arbenz and Cavins met while attending Miami University in 1984, where they formed the band The Liquid Hippos. In 1988 they released an album called Shellac The Bozak on Ultrasuede (the label that also released the Afghan Whigs' debut Big Top Halloween) but spilt soon after when Jason’s brother Jordan
