
Thomas Jefferson Kaye (born 1940 as Thomas Jefferson Kontos in North Dakota, died 1994) was an American record producer, singer-songwriter and musician. Described as a “legendary hipster”, Kaye produced recordings as diverse as the garage classic "96 Tears" by ? and the Mysterians, "Dead Skunk" by Loudon Wainwright III and numerous albums by former Byrd Gene Clark (including the latter's 1974 masterpiece "No Other"). He released numerous albums as a recording artist as well
