Thomas Babou (born in Liège, Belgium, on 12 February 1656, died at Liège to 1740) was a Walloon organist and composer. We currently know very little about him. He was organist at the Collegiate Church of Saint John the Evangelist of Liège, at least 1687 until 1726. His son, Jean-François-Pascal (1700 - 1767), was also organist at the church (1726 to 1767), practiced as a notary, and was secretary of the chapter of St John from 1742. We owe him a copy of a likely organ Book
