This Band is Called is a band formed in spring 2009, from Woodstock, Embro, and Bright, ON, Canada. Their sound brings a new twist to the metal scene, combining metal shredding with the heavy riffing of the hardcore genre, and including elements anywhere from death metal and pop. The band uses sources of humor for their songwriting. Such songs as "Nutbreath Dennis" are based on events experienced by the members. An EP release is expected for summer 2009, it is rumored to have 7 tracks, and may be released under a different band name.
