A cornerstone of Connecticut's DIY screamo/hardcore scene, They and the Children started kicking around in 2003, with their first show in March of that year. Fronted by veteran show promoter Brian, featuring The Brothers Gorman on guitar and drums, all held up by the elderly father figure of Chris switching off bass and guitar duties with Ross, the band has embarked on many tours and released demos, 7"s, and 12" EPs. They also contributed their song "Aphasia" to both a split with Towers and a local compilation called 'CT Sucks'.
