These Seats Are Taken were a nu-wave band from Horst-Sevenum, The Netherlands, founded in 2006. Although hailing from the very south of the lowlands, These Seats Are Taken produced a sound that can be best described as 'typically British'. The band's style was somewhat similar to The Futureheads and The Rakes, with thriving guitar riffs, layered vocals and and jerky beats. In January 2009 the band announced to split up, after their singer moved to Iceland.
