There are multiple artists with this name: 1)The Zippers was a Russian post-punk band, from Rostov-on-Don, active from 2003 to 2005 and comprising guitarist/vocalist Vasia "Bitnik" Yakovenko, guitarist Bordovskih and drummer Bunya. 2)The Zippers was a rock band from Los Angeles, California. They straddled the line between the punk rock and new wave/power pop scenes in the 80s. Their debut single was a cover of the Phil Spector pop tune "He's a Rebel" through the indie label 'Backdoor Man Records', released in 1980.
