The Young Adults were a popular bar band in the Rhode Island area in the mid to late 70's. Their live performances mixed straight up rock and roll with a dash of performance art. Their musicianship was excellent, they were very high energy, tight and with a strong emphasis on humor. In the late 1990s, another band named The Young Adults formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This band was part of a local group of indie rock bands that often played together, including The Shins and The Rondelles.
