This noisy trio formed in early 2010 amidst the cultural turbidity of San Antonio, TX. In a city proud of its accordion players, Tex-Mex, metal, genres ending in -billy, and bands with Spanish names, Vanity Press stand apart from San Antonio's musical culture by virtue of their influences and vision. Considered San Antonio's only "shoegaze" band (local radio stations even accuse them of being British), they immerse pop hooks and pounding drums in fuzzy depths of distortion and reverb.
