The Vacant Eyes are progressive metal band from Prague, Czech Republic, founded in 2009 by the guitarist and songwriter Martin Bejšovec. The band combines an aggressive riffing played on 8 string guitars with melodic, post-rock/metal layers mostly with a strong melancholic aspect; and uses harsh vocals (both screams and growl) as well as clean vocals in their music. After the three-song instrumental demo "A Message In the Bottle" (heavily influenced by Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine tree etc.
