About The Teen Age
Formed in a Bushwick, Brooklyn basement in late 2012, The Teen Age play a mix of 70′s-inspired punk and garage rock, with a nod to classic doo-wop and 60's pop influences. Think the CBGB's grit of the Dead Boys or the drunken-swagger of the Black Lips, mixed with the sing-a-along pop hooks of the Marvelettes or Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers. The Teen Age made their live debut in 2013 supporting the UK's Palma Violets, and released their first single "Ventura" (recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn) on PaperCup Music in July 2013.
