The music of the Sunchymes has been compared with the likes of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Byrds, Jellyfish and The Wondermints. It is characterised by sunshine fuelled harmonies and a melodic approach which has attracted positive comments from the likes of Jeff Foskett and Nelson Bragg of Brian Wilson's band. The debut album 'Shifting Sands' was released in December 2009 the follow up album 'Let your free flag fly' was released in August 2012.
