About The Steve French Band
Steve French was born on the 6th of January 1972 in the great industrial city of Sheffield, England. He first picked up the guitar at fourteen years of age and had a fascination with blues from fairly early on. By his twenties he was learning to play like artists such as Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Albert King. His first gigging band was a soul band based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire called 'Touch and Go' They sacked him but he didn't mind because one of the sax players was a tosser and was always blowing sharp anyway.
