About The Splinters
The Splinters are four girls – Ashley, Caroline, Lauren, and Courtney – from Berkeley/Sacramento, CA. Taking cues from greats like The Raincoats, The Shaggs, the shangri-las, the breeders, and X, they "combine the idiosyncratic tendencies of folk rock, the full-tilt power of riot grrrl style progressions, peppering in all-girl campfire sing-along style and refreshing amounts of tambourine." Their debut album Kick was released by Double Negative Records in March 2010.
