About The Splendid Trend
The Splendid Trend is the evolution of the New Harmony Blutones which was started by Chad Rainey of the Half Rats, who had turned the Blutones into a one man band project. A few years later, Chad and Danny (former Purdue Video School friends) reunited and began playing as a 2 piece, with Danny running projected visuals. Soon Lafayette was buzzing with delight at the sights and sounds of the newest band in town. However, playing big shows as a one man band (musically) eventually became difficult.
